Aroma is honey, sweet hay, malt. Mouthfeel smooth, fairly heavy. Lots of spotty lacing, some rings. Flavor pretty well matches aroma - lots of honey and hay, malty sweetness, some alcohol presence, maybe a hint of brown sugar. Bit of bitter to finish it off. Nice. Rich aroma of juicy medium dark malts lightly noted with German hops. Ready malt behind. Medium bodied , solid malty base. Think of German light rye bread. Very clean work. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2006 I seemed to detect a slight smokiness in the aroma along with candied malt, light copper, and a small tan head. Flavour has fine malt, some woodiness and hints of almond. Medium bodied, well balanced and quite bitter. Really good example. Thank You Radek! HermanW (630), Coevorden, Netherlands
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Heavy May-bock beer. You taste the alcohol and that is bad for a 6,5% alcohol beer. For the rest it is a tasty beer. Tmoney99 (4761), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured amber color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate grassy sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium sweet malty flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. tronraner (1932), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Bottle. Pours copper with a one-finger white head. The aroma is hay, orange, and a bit of a floral note. The flavor is leaves, bark, toast, and quite a bit of ashiness, especially in the finish. As it nears room temperature, I can taste a bit of alcohol. Ok, but not great. Wretchedhalo (11), USA
