Unforunately, this beer was probably not stored properly because there was some major skunkyness. On the other hand, there seemed to be some really great aromas/flavours beyond the skunk...so I dont want to be too hard on it! In the aroma I detect cookies, caramel and dark fruits. Its very sweet and creamy but yet still nice and refreshing, with a wider range of fruits in the flavour including grapes and green apple, along with some hops, some spice, and some maple. I like it more and more with each sip as the skunk disappears. Now much better than the fresh bottle I had last year. Frothy tan head leaving nice lace. Full body with long finish. I think I will cellar this beer for a year in the future. haukur (684), Reykjavik, Iceland
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2006 very hoppy aroma, some underlaying floral notes and malt. Not so great on looks, very small head, dark gold colour. Taste is a bit special and different from the aroma, somewhat refreshing, very floral with lingering bitterness. The Einbecker bocks are pretty different, and are the worlds oldest Bocks Ive head. Very nice brew tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark

Smagen er dog mere kraftig og humlet. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 30, 2006 33 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Amber colour with a weak head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel and hints of alcohol. Malty flavour with notes of hops and caramel, very malty but with a fine palete, very noble and easy drinking, with a lot of taste. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 22, 2006 The alcohol and sweet flavor are dominate in this one. The appearance is dark copper/amber with a small head. The beer has an aftertaste like hard candy or caramel. The aroma is also full of caramel malt and herbal hops. The palate is ok. Overall I like it but it’s not one of my favorites. Palidor19 (1792), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2006 Greyish amber with a long lasting foamy head. Strong lasting aroma, very malty and "substantial". An apparent bitterness well balanced with sugar and (maybe herbal) flavors.
