Medium copper color, thin, slightly beady off-white head, sticks around a while. Slightly sweet, molasses-like aroma, hint of paper bag wetness. Some yeastiness comes through in the flavor with hints of caramel and raisins. Mouthfeel could be thicker. Nothing really exciting going on here, but not bad. gunnfryd (3615), Kristiansand, Norway

we stopped at Mecklenburg Gardens. I had one of these from a bottle for desert. Nose of
heavy banana and apple fading to sweet cereal and light caramel notes. Pours a medium
clear copper. The tall frothy beige rocky head is fully lasting. Nutty malt all the way
home with a hint of alcoholic sweetness with some bitterness in the long rich finish. The
medium body is creamy and lively. I recommend the Hungarian Goulash. Hats off to the
owners of this fine establishment, we all left very happy. P.S. I took the authentic Einbecker brewery glassware home as a souvenir. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Clear orange/amber body with a HUGE rocky head, this is one impressive looking beer. It’s got a rich, malty aroma, caramel mostly, with a touch of apple and some herbal bitterness. Slightly thin in the mouth for a bock, it manages to deliver a sweet, bready malt flavor with some earthy bitterness that lasts into the finish.
