Dark, perfect golden body with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty and sour, not particularly striking. The flavor: slightly malty, with hints of butter, yet it is quite dry and ashy. The body is somewhat thin, but the finish is warm and well-balanced. Full mouth-feel and many foamy bubbles.

Clear copper color with huge, foamy white head - herbal, hoppy. pilsner-like aroma, a few earthy tones - mildly sweety up front, with caramel and light berries, followed by a grassy, herbal quality, making way for a clean, hoppy finish - a well-balanced maibock.

Very clear gold color with creamy off white head. Aroma is malty but slightly skunked. Despite this a hop aroma is also noticable. Creamy malts and a thick full feel. Hoppy flavors and a decent hoppy finish.

A nice beer in a neat little bottle that reminds me of a brew kettle. The beer pours a clear golden copper with a persistent white head. The aroma starts out with minerals up front then fades away with bready malt hinting at nutty Munich malt, and a little fruity yeast in the background. Little to no hop aroma. The flavor is clean malt bready to caramel to nutty then a lingering sweet finish. The beer has a nice body, and a surprising amount of carbonation which isn’t too intrusive. Overall this was a great Maibock, and one I’ll look for in stores.

Enjoyable, if unfortunately light struck! A well balanced not cloying dose of melanoidiny malts, easy finish. It was so drinkable I got through it so quickly I almost forgot to rate it! The glass was near empty when I realized I hadn’t even paid real close attention since the first sip. There’s a medium earthiness underlying the caramelized malts. Palate was light and soft, if almost thin, but it worked in keeping the potentially heavy melanoidins at bay.

Bottle, 6.5%. Clear dark amber colour. Good white head, almost stable. Good sweet flavour, nicely malty. Balanced by a bit of alcohol and a good, grassy hoppiness.
