Pretty solid all around, the hop bitterness is there and it’s good. Really nothing to complain about here. Just seemed unspectacular to me, but really not much to complain about here. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 23, 2004 I liked this stuff a lot. I don’t expect much for funny green bottles so my expectations were low. Nice dough aroma with a nice malty taste. Didn’t taste like any bock that I’ve ever had but I would drink this again in a minute. Head lasted all the way through. Nicely done. jfm (1694), Holbæk, Denmark
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 18, 2004 Golden color with a white head. The taste is malty with a slight hoppy palate. Slight watery and not the most exciting beer. Saarlander (1579), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

Nice aftertaste, wish I had 6 instead of One! mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2004 Tap at Old Bay. Hoppy Mai bock. Good beer. Crisp, clean and malty with some hop bitterness. Enjoyable. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 30, 2004 Tap at the Old Bay. Lots of hops in this Mai-Bock. Almost a Mai-Bock pils. This is a crisp and clean malty brew with hop bitterness and even in the aroma. Nothing too dominant, but not what you would expect in a bock. stubby (326), Santee, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 28, 2004 Hoppy bitterness lingers and lingers. Not evident during the drink but it just stays on your tongue. BEAUTIFUL dark golden hue. I could drink a lot of this. Dixen (1465), Flagstaff, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 28, 2004 Golden to yellow color, with a big cramy white head. Aroma is very balanced, some toffee malts and a shot of fresh hops, very inviting. Flavor is very malty, toffeish and with a good bitter ending. Very nice brew that goes down very well.
