In 1521 Martin Luther said before his peers "The best drink known to man is called Einbecker beer" In 2008 Alvin Holmes said before his peers "what’s wrong with the beer we got here? It drink pretty good don’t it" In reference to beers made by Budweiser, Miller, and Coors. History has a way of repeating it’s self, but the general populous sure had better taste back then. This beer pours with a small head with plenty of retention. The color is a deep copper. Aromas of hay & honey malt sweetness. Simple but effective. The Flavor is kind of boozy with some honey and a grainy flavor. There is a nice sticky malty sweetness with just a mild sharp hoppiness, and some very unexpected chocolate tones. The palate is nice big full very round and almost silky.

Bottle. Had a sweet malty and lightly fruity aroma. Light hop and alcohol character blended nicely with the sweet lightly roasted malt flavor. Good brew.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark golden with a two finger foamy white head and spotty lacing. Nose is strong lager notes, grassy hops, and sweet malts. Taste is toasted caramel malt, grassy hops and sweet grains with a slight biter hop finish. Medium, cream mouth feel. Decent.

bottle, thank you MoritzF! Clear golden yellow, mid-iszed head. Bitter-sweet, malty and hoppy with a grassy touch. Quite quaffable for the strength.

Good pairing for my tuna sandwich at Stuffed Sandwiches. Clear golden hue, very wheatey taste along with some dark fruits. Very strong beer at first - may make you cringe a little. But, the more you drink it, the more enjoyable it gets. Not a bad brew at all!

Bottle thanks to sam at Stuffed Sandwiches. Perfect pairing for my pastrami. Pours a clear golden color with a sparse off-white head. Aroma is fruity with Bavarian wheat and alcohol. Brings me back to the times I went to Germany when I was a teenager. Taste is prunes, yeast alcohol and wheat. Nice and refreshing albeit a bit rich. Creamy mouthfeel and light bubbles. A good beer.
