This beer pours a clear, vibrant orange-amber colour with a full frothy white top. Aroma is nutty, moderate alcohol fumes and carmel. Taste is full on the palate, butterscotch, barleywine-esque characteristics and somewhat salty. nice beer overall.

Bottle courtesy of fonefan pours clear golden with thin white head. Aroma is sweet malt and bread. First taste is sweet then the carbonation comes in. Alcohol is there slightly but the malt flavor resonates throughout, but there is a hing of hops bitterness in the end.

Clear golden pour with a persistent white head. Aroma of bread, lots of softly sweet malts and a touch of melanoidin and light light floral note. Flavor: Quick bite of carbonation, then soft malts - a touch of caramel and peppery spice note from the hop. The alcohol quickly peeks to warm the palate as well. The melanoidin shows up nicely as part of the lingering finish which is dry and slightly spicy Palate: Medium light bodied the carbonic bite a little more apparent when the beer is not fully warm Overall: A classic example of a helles bock - there is a certain unassuming enjoyability with this beer which makes it enjoyable from the packaging to the palate really well done. The only off thing is the caramel note in the taste - may have been a slightly oxidised sample

A bit malty a bit sweet, but a bit bitter in the aftertaste. The aftertaste hinders this a bit totally.

Clear yellow with a bit of amber thrown in holding up a small, white head. A little malt, a little earth, and a little skunky. I’ve gotta stop buying green bottled beers in Japan, they never make it in good shape. Flavor is some toasty malts, grass, sticky sweetness, and light hop bitterness. Decent.
