| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2008 12oz green bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester. Pours a translucent golden amber body with a quarter inch of short-lived off-white head. Caramel and biscuity malts shine in the aroma with continental hops in the background. Tastes sweet, with caramel malt playing a big role, chocolate notes, and just enough hops to balance the flavor. Just a tinge of alcohol warming is also present. Very tasty and pretty drinkable. I like it - a solid German lager. afireinside96 (827), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours light amber with a fairly large foamy head. smells like caramel and green glass skunkiness. Flavor is sweet and doughy with some noticeable hop presence. Finishes semi-dry. Leaves some very nice lace. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA

Caramel also in the flavor with mild sweetness. Well carbonated. Sweetness diminishes into a light bitter finish. Good KawaBomber (193), New Jersey, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 21, 2008 11.2oz Bottle: Clear amber w/ a decent sized white head. Light lacing left around the glass. Aroma is sweet caramely malts & a little bit of pepper. Flavor is of sweet malts & some spicy hops. A little too carbonated for my liking. Finish is a foul metallic taste that eventually turns sweet. Would have been better had the nasty metallic taste not reared it’s ugly head. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
