Typical golden-amber; thin white head; aroma of grain and sweet malt; flavor is great blend of sweet malt and dry graininess with a nice long bitter-sweet finish as hops come through in the end.

Glowing amber color with a viscous tan head. Big malty nutty pumpernickle bread aroma. Light/medium body. Big sweet bread, yeasty spicy malty flavors. Olde school lager.

A: Brassy yellow with orange hues. A big off-white head with decent retention leaves quite a lot of lacings. S: Bready malts, a gentle not of sweet fruits and grass. Hints of minerals, alcohol and perfumy hops. T: Malty sweetness - lots of sweetness all around actually. Toast, grassy hops and a subtle sweet fruity note. Caramel. The finish has some bitterness to it with a note of grassy hops, more malts and a distinct taste of sweet alcohol. The alcohol is not well hidden in this one. M: Moderate body, rather smooth texture. Gentle carbonation. D: Not very complex, but quite tasty. The alcohol gets a little too much after a while and considering the sweetness I wouldn’t want to drink more than one bottle of this on any occasion. This style of beer isn’t really my thing. Light golden pour topped by a frothy short lived head. Caramel, pear, honey, alcohol and white port on the nose. Sweet and short in the mouth. Light to medium body watery/syrupy mouth feel and soft carbonation. Not terribly exiting, but definitely drinkable.

Serving: 330 ml. bottle. Appearance: Deep gold color with a foamy, white head. Decent head retention and spotty lacing. Aroma: Malty with notes of caramel, bread, some nuttiness, and some floral notes. Flavor: Sweet with malt, light toasted notes, a bit of sharp bitterness from the hops. The alcohol is fairly prominent. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-short, slightly bitter finish. Overall: Nothing spectacular but fairly solid. I wouldn’t mind a little less alcohol bite.

Bottle. Light brown color with a foamy white head. Quite nice malty aroma with hints of caramel, apricot, peas and some bread. The taste was sweeter than the smell, if one can say that something smells sweet. A little fruity, and there were a lot of malt. Bitterness was decent, the aftertaste was not that long.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a thin white head over a dark golden (SRM 6-7), clear body.....nose is malty cereal (Grapenuts) with a bit of hop spice....taste is heavy with lightly roasted malts, dry throughout, mild hop bittering at the finish.....mouth feel is medium, and carbonation adds to the richness. Not my favorite style, but this is a very nice representation of it.

Gold/amber with a thick white head. Grainy, slightly metallic malt nose. Sweet, grassy malt with a lightly bitter finish. Eh. Not bad.
