Bottle. Aromas of moderate caramel and roasted, light notes of herbs and dough and a little toffee. Head is small bubbly white, with good lacing and the beer itself clung to the glass nicely. Flavor is lightly sweet and moderately acidic to start, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, watery to dry and has a fizzy carbonation. It finishes lightly dry and astringent. A nice Dunkel with a bit more bitterness than I expected.

Clear medium brown look with a minimal head. Aroma is of strong caramel mixed with metallic hobs, giving it a tough of sweet yeast scent. Nice balanced sweetness in the flavor, with the dusty hobs taking over towards the end, its almost desert like but with a warming alchohol. Good one!

Bottle purchased in Berlin.

Pours caramel red with a fluffy head. The nose is fruity, apple and sweet grain, with a bit of grassy hops atop it all. Flavor is wood and raisins, sweet malt and a nice hop kick in the tail of flavor profile that melds with the second wave of sugars that come across the tongue. Some burnt coffee. Creamy mouthfeel is very nice.

two toned head on an nice looking red amber brew. pleasant barley malt and beer aroma that is a touch fruity. flavor is like an ordinary malt liquor.alcohol flavor is chemically sweet and bitterly dissapointing. this throws attenttion to the aroma thereby taking that down. no burp. totally unimpressive.

This is a pretty cool looking beer, with a very nice head and a dark amber body. Smells kind of choclatey, malty, etc... There are definitely noticeable hops in the taste along with a really good cover for the high amount of alcohol. Slightly roasty, but not so much as other dark beers.

Sampled as part of BJCP certification training session as a "Tradiitional Bock" example. Copper appearance, decent head. Aroma malty. Flavor also of malt, a bit of toast, and a bit of bitterness from hops on the finish, but still quite sweet to my tastes. Nothing wrong here, just not my bag.

Bottle. Amber color average head. Average beery aroma, some grainy aromas. Caramel malt flavor, some bready notes. Easy drinking, nothing to write home about.
