Nice amber color. Nice lightly roasted malt flavor. Good and strong. Finishes well, but doesn’t really hold it’s head.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel, toasted malts, and dark fruits. Flavor is of dark fruits and caramel up front. Finishes with the toasted malts and slight alcohol warming. Good but not great.

Mildly dark roasted malt with some nut. Perhaps floral hop. Deep reddish amber color with a white head that quickly laced and left. Medium bodied; creamy carbonation. Starts with bitter and toffee/caramel malt. The bitter and darkish sweetness tend to alternate on the way to the finish. The finish is slightly puckery, pretty dry, and decently bitter. Leaves bitter all over the tongue. Yeah!

Rich chestnut in color, slightly hazy in the glass. Nose is mildly roasted sweet malt with hints of caramel, lemongrass, and piney hops. Medium bodied and well carbonated. Finishes a tad bitter, but that suits my beer personality just fine. Better than I expected.

Bottle. Pours with a brown color and medium head. Very pronounced aromas of toffee and caramel. Flavors of malts, lots of caramel, toffee and strawberries. Very nicely done, not too cloying or sweet.

On draught at Tjeldsundfergen, Oslo. Hazy copper, creamy offwhite head. Caramel and malty aroma. Good malty toffee flavours. Spicy. A great beer.

Draught at Tjeldsundfergen, Oslo. A lovely brown beer, which I would not call dunkel. Lots of flavour, more malt than hops, but well balanced. Warming alcohol in the background and finish. A fine beer.
