Bottle from Super Saver. Deep coppery pour with minimal off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, slight figgy fruit and nuts, peat, and toffee. Tastes ESBish, with some tannins and semi-sweet caramel malty flavors, plus slight hops. Medium palate. Likely a one and done for me.

Pours copper with a large, foamy, yellowish head. Strong flavor and not something you’d throw back. My first bock, and I’d get it again.

Pours a deep copper-colored body with a holding, off-white head that leaves behind wet ribbons of lace. Green-bottle skunk fades to herbs while roasty caramel malts form a sweet base to the aroma. Malts dominate the flavor but there is a nice balance of bitterness to keep the sweetness in check. Mid-bodied and thoroughly satisfying. Eliminate the UV problem and this is top-notch.

A very nice bock. Pours a deep amber with a nice head. Good malty aroma and taste. Not as good as Celebrator but better than many other bocks.

Bottle. Rich amber brown beer with an off-white head. Lots of caramel in the aroma. Caramel and toffee in the flavor with a little noble hop backing. Lingering sweet caramel. Richer bodied. My 2 year-old son says: "that’s yummy fizzy juice".

Didn’t smell much with this one. Had a grassy taste similar to the Warsteiner dunkel, but a better overall flavor. Not much of a hops presence and the smooth maltiness prevails. I’ve had better German beers.

Cerealy Saaz aroma like a concentrated Pilsner Urquell; nice balance of worty malt and hops that suggests this will taste melanoidiny and with full hops flavour. Hazy brownish orange with a wispy, white, thin cover. Hops hit you first, with contrapuntal, melanoidiny malt in perfect balance. Mild bitterness that fades away to leave a malty aftertaste. Medium carbonation with not quite a round enough feel for the style--a bit too sharp, lagery feel.
