Aroma of caramel and toasted bready malts. Taste is sweet and malty, bready lager yeast, toffee and toasted malts with a bit of caramelized fruitiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation. A good beer, but really not that impressive. Lubiere (4528), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 23, 2006 The bottle poured a clear medium amber beverage with an average sized off-white bubbly head that was mostly diminishing and left good lacing on the glass There was a well balanced malty presence of wet straw and cookies mixed with a grassy hop aroma. The body was medium-full with a slightly oily texture and soft carbonation. The flavor had an initial sharp acidic bite to it while the finish was of average duration and had an alcohol warmth to it. jkbier (24), Kiel, Germany
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 4, 2006 Bottle. A dark brownish amber with nice white head. Strong aroma of malt and alcohol. The mouthfeel is a bit oily, though not unpleasant. Lively carnobated. Flavors of caramel and malt in the beginning, quickly changing to an alcoholic sweetness. Dry, somewhat bitter finish. Solid Bock, although the alcohol flavor is a bit too apparent. Tmoney99 (4742), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2006 On tap at Wildeman, Amsterdam. Smells very yeasty like marmite on brown bread. Quite a strong aroma, with a hen-peck of choc too. Colour is toasty brown, with a soft snow covering of head. Flavour is a bit aggressive too, especially on the finish. Metally, nutty cereal body, with crisp carbonation. A goodish, dry, strong flavoured beer, but not the sort of thing I’ll come back to neccessarily.
