Nov 12, 2005 Dark copper color wtih no head. This one did not survive the trip across the pond well. Smells and tastes like a skunk walked through the brewery. There’s an obvious malt undertone that seems good, but it’s outweighed by the bad.

Nov 1, 2005 Clear brown colour. Head is off-white and fluffy. Roasted and sweet malty aroma with a touch of barn. Flavour is bitter and malty. A nice full body, with a touch of sweetness and liquorice. A great finish to this beer. Really nice!

Oct 31, 2005 (bottle) Clear copper colour with a foamy off-white medium head. Light sweet and roasted malty aroma with caramel, also hops in the background. Bitter flavour, full to medium bodied. Roastmalty and caramel taste with a dry and bitter hoppy liquorice finish with warming alcohol coming through. Initially sweet, it becomes more and more dry and bitter towards the finish. Well balanced and really good.
