Bottle. Dark reddish with a fine lasting off-white head. Strong malty aromas of dried fruits, caramel and a touch of smoke. Fullbodied in the mouth with good firm bitterness to balance the moderate sweetness. This is a great beer.

Bottle. Aroma of harsh hops. Dark copper colour. Unstable head. Flavour is bitter, bready and strangely hoppy. Aftertaste has a slight hint of roastiness.

Bottle, BB 1990, 17 years ago. Still looks and tastes good after this much time, even though I usually do not care for aged beers.

Attractive deep reddish copper color, small head, lotsa big bubbles in the glass, no lacing. Heavy super-melanoidin aroma, mild earthiness coupled with huge toffee candy. Flavor same, heavy and thick with sweet melanoidin malt, a bit tart tugging at the sides of the tongue, a modest floral hop finish attempting to keep things in balance. Quite a bock.

(on bottle-thanks Yogi)Strangely, clear and light looking bock to me. orange/dark orange in colour and and short, white head. Very inviting aroma of both fresh and sry hay. The flavour is very hoppy and the carbonation high, german IPA?(joke)After a while it does get more carameld and the hard bitterness makes it a real thirstkiller.

(Bottle 33 cl) Brown, almost dark brown, with a nice creamy head. Fresh, although slightly perfumy, nose. Full-bodied with lots of malt and a lingering bitter finish. Some caramel but never sweet. An excellent bock - the mother of all bocks. 230899

Fiery dark bronze with a thick, dense off-white head. Aroma of caramel and yeast. Flavor has notes of chocolate, caramel, dark fruit, wheat, yeast and toasted malt. Pleasantly sweet but has plenty of bitter hops to balance it out. Alcohol and hop bitterness detected in the finish. Full bodied and flavorful. Body is full, round and thick with lively carbonation. Nice lacework, good head retention. Liked it.
