Light brown thick head, slowly disappearinf. Dark brown body. very malty taste - this is not a beer for babies! Aroma full of nuts and a bit of caramel, con firmed by its flavour. Pretty strong taste feelings, stays with you for a while. A strong beer, not bad for an evening in town.

Bottle. Delicious smell of caramel, vanilla, grain, malt and raisens. Clear red color with a rocky off white head. Bracing, strong malty flavor with hints of the flavors detected in the aroma. Surprisingly bitter finish for the style. Overall unbalanced with a thin body. Perhaps better closer to home.

Clear, light brownish hue, big, puffy cream-cola-ish head, gently drifting down. Aroma, mild, nutty, light cocoa, soft cinnamon, delicate and demure...nice. Rounded, malty flavor, tiny hops. Crawls into the back of the throat, and nestles in for a spell. Nutty, caramel-y flavor, packs a tasty little kick, at 6.5%, the alcohol peeks out just enough to give a mild burn. Medium body, long, nearly intense finish. I like this better than my numbers reflect, but it needs a little more of everything to be truly noteworthy.

Kinda weird, but it’s smells like weed, pepper, spices, strange aroma. Body is brown, with a bubbly white head. Taste is sweet, sugar, caramel, and alcohol. Not bad, but not great.

Clear copper body, medium cream head. Aroma of toast, brown sugar, and bread with earthy highlights. Flavor was not too different from the Mai-Ur-Bock with dark sugars (caramel), toast, and a bit more bitterness than the aformentioned beer. Less "round" than the Mai-Ur-Bock finishing with grassy, peppery hops. Not a Dunkel.

Pours with a three-finger white head that leaves a ton of lace. Clear deep amber color. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Strong malty nose. Starts sweet finishes with a slight hoppy bite, a good bock even with the green bottle. $2.10 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Chestnut color with a slight off white but frothy head. The taste is malty with caramel notes. Has a hoppy pattern and a light alcohol sharpness. Finishes with a dry bitterness.

Copper color with a small head and very little lacing. Bready, caramel malt and dark fruit aroma. Medium-bodied, moderately carbonated, lightly hopped flavor. Finishes somewhat bitter.
