Pretty amber colour and a nice lively mouthfeel. Nose and flavour is sweet, malty, and slightly nutty. Alcoholic warmth and hints of salt too. Not bad at all, but something in the bitter finish seems somewhat out of balance.

Lovely dark red color, with a body to match. I like this bock, with its malty body and alcoholic warmth. Not much hops, just enough to make the malt not too sweet.

A pretty good bock beer. Similar to a doppel in some areas, but definiately lighter in the body department. Has good sweet and roasted malt flavors throughout, some dryness, and some alcohol flavors in there too. Green bottle didn’t seem to affect the aroma or flavor.

I am very surprised to see that is is kinda low rated. It is definately better than the ratings indicate. Beautiful amber clear colour with a thin long lasting white head with great lacing. Nose is sweet malty with a kick of wheat and grass. Slight bit of skunk but underneath the taste is all there. The taste is rusty malty and ends up being somewhat rasted in the back. Pretty darn good, body is tingly with faint alcohol in back too.

Golden to amber color, with a nice white head. Aroma is light malty, nutty and some notes of sweetness. Very nice maltiness, and then comes a good ol shot of dry hops. I like it.

Bottle. Very nice dark amber color with thin white head. Aroma of sweet light malt and a bit of nutty toffee. Initially seemed sweet but has a nice kick of bitterness that lasts through the finish. I really liked the balance.

A pretty good beer. I agree that it isn't very dunkel. Kind of sweet, a little malty. A pleasent experience, not for the price though. I think I paid a little over $2 a bottle.
