I liked this better than the Mai-ur-Bock. Still so syrupy sweet and sort of oily/soapy mouthfeel. Sour/Bitter aftertaste. Maybe mine was just an old bottle but - no thanks.

Bottle. Maizy, acidic aroma. Golden colour, small white head. Good mouthfeel. Sharpish bitterness. Quite clean tasting, but a little too similar to strong lager. I do not see why this is so popular.

(Bottle 33 cl) I was excited about the dark version of Einbeckers Ur-Bock. This is less interesting although still a nice beer. Fully golden with a nice, full head. Very aromatic from the hops but also rather bitter in the finish. Some alcoholl-burn and not the same body to balance it off as in the dark version. 210100

Very pale golde, firm-medium sized white head; shy hoppy nose with some bready notes; malty beginning, but not really sweet; malty flavour, turning into a longer lasting quite dry bitter finish with traces of maltiness. Well quaffable, but not so great as the Maibock......

Bottle. Nice malty/hoppy aroma. Golden yellow with ample head. Initially sweet with mildly astrigent hops finish. Smooth and unique - a very nice bock on the sweeter side.

malty, interesting hops. Good body with a lingering aftertaste, very crisp. Would be nice to try this with food
