The nose is mostly about the hops. A bit thin. Flavour is dry with hops and the alcohol gives it a warming touch. Good bitterness. The mai-bock is a bit better than this one, but still a good bock.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 9, 2008 The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Fine head for a bock. Tastes very spicy and strong, not alcoholic. That’s the way a good bock has to taste! Well done! stouby (1955), Holbaek, Denmark

Pale golden with a white head, nice lacings. Aroma moderate malty (caramel) and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Almost medium body. It’s more like a pilsener and missing the sweet creamy touch.
