Rich malty aroma with lots of melanoidins. Some grainy notes. Smooth soft texture with little carbonation. Sweet malts balanced by a big dose of grassy hops. Quite bitter and finishes with a drying hop bitter sensation. Really nice. thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 29, 2007 Translucent pale golden body, good head retention. Excellent lacing. Shame about the cheap presentation: crappy bottle & label. Malty sweet aroma, somewhat spicy and with some balance coming from the (fairly boring) hop. Quite bready. Deep malty taste, sweet with honey and caramel, but also grainy and bready. Very slight hopbitterness in the finish makes this a bit (too) biased to the sweet side, but it is very enjoyable nonetheless. Surprisingly thick mouthfeel, low/medium carbonation. Simple, strong malt presence and easy-drinking; a solid bock. OleR (2106), Oslo, Norway

Distinct malty sweetness in the aroma. Scents of dryish, earthy and herbal hops. Malty sweetness in the flavor as well. Nicely hopped with some light fruity notes. Mild bitterness in the finish. goozen (1102), Leiden, Netherlands
