The light malt and the slight taste of hops give this beer its hearty, palatable taste.

The aroma is sweet and malty - very average. The color is yellow and it has a fine head. The flavor is as that of a boring lager: sweet, malty with straw and flower notes. I was disappointed in the fact that the 6.5% ABV wasn't used to make this beer better. To me this is a very average beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) I was excited about the dark version of Einbeckers Ur-Bock. This is less interesting although still a nice beer. Fully golden with a nice, full head. Very aromatic from the hops but also rather bitter in the finish. Some alcoholl-burn and not the same body to balance it off as in the dark version. 210100

Bottled. Pale golden. Dry and richly malty. Dense and soft with lots of grassy hops and dusty bitter finish. Classic.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a dense white head. Solid caramel malty aroma, light presence of alcohol. Dense fruity malt and alcohol flavour. Light peppery note. Ends with a light peppery to spiced flavour, lingering almost fruity malty and with a light warming alcohol feel.

Bottle. Maizy, acidic aroma. Golden colour, small white head. Good mouthfeel. Sharpish bitterness. Quite clean tasting, but a little too similar to strong lager. I do not see why this is so popular.

Bottled. Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mainly hoppy. Flavour is hops, malts, xylitol and soap. Strong alcohol coming through in the flavour too, more like a malt liquor or European Strong Lager in my opinion.
