Actually, it doesn’t have the fakey quality of BacOs, but it does have a much more subdued smoky quality than the German Rauchbiers, and is nicely quaffable. Palidor19 (1773), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 17, 2008 I think the aroma is much less smoky than most smoked beer but that is a good thing. Basically the only other smell is malt. The flavor is lightly smoky and malty. The palate is thin. It’s really not my style but as smokes go this one is easy to drink. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2008 12oz bottle I picked up at O’brien’s to share with my gf, Cyn who loves the smoked beers. Pours dark amber with a four finger tan head. Nose is pretty smokey with some wood in there too. Taste is sweet, smokey and all together ooky, the Adams family, nevermind, it tastes pretyt good and its balanced, Not a bad smoked in my estimation. zebracakes (1215), Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2008 Bottle purchased at D’s Six Pax. Pours clear amber orange, off white head. Aroma is malty, tangy, smoky. Flavor is smoke, graham cracker, malt, some ham but not too over powering. A nicely blended smoked, even if a bit on the sweeter side. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2008 Big flavoured chocolately style that is quite moreish. Appearance (clear reddish brown) and nose is quite standard for the style, although the latter shows quite a bit of smoke and roasty malt, and a little Belgian strong ale character as well. Palate shows plenty of chocolately malts and maybe a touch of licorie from the alcohol. Seems to play a little higher that the 6.5%. Good fun but not a beer you could drink all day. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2008 Quite a tasty and satisfying smoke, with the medium lager mouthfeel backdropping the right amount of smoked malt flavour. Sweetish but not too sweet. Drinkable this one. Ramenen (456), San Salvador, El Salvador
