Apr 10, 2008 Aroma is rich, malty and smoky, more like a stout than a lager. It pours a dark translucent brown, not as dark as a stout or porter, but still appetizing and with a thick, fluffy, persistent head. Flavor is crisp, fuller than most lagers I have tried and with a definite smoky overtone. It feels just a little thin, but as far as lagers go it is outstanding.

Apr 3, 2008 Pours a dark black/brown with a small off white head. Aroma of malts, biscut and coffee. Flavors of chocolate, malt, brown sugar, caramel and hay. Brazilian Dunkel done decent, but far from perfect.

Mar 18, 2008 12 oz Bottle from iowaherkeye; weak nose of chocolate, nuttiness, and light molasses; opaque dark brown with a medium cinnamon tan head; flavor has, chocolate and coffee with a smoky note in the background. Good dunkel!

Mar 17, 2008 3/15/08 - Mystery pack from D’s courtesy/shared with Naka. Pours black with amber hues, small fizzy, khaki head. Nose is sweet caramel, biscuit and chocolate, touch of roast. Surprisingly not bad. Nice caramel and chocolate flavor, a bit watery with dry, crisp finish. Not bad.

Mar 15, 2008 Shared w/ Juart. Got from a Mystery Pack from D’s in Monroeville. Pours a really dark brown color with a small fizzy light tan head. A nose of dark molasses, some coffee, and a little bit of fig. A malty caramel flavor with some roasty background. Some dark fruit undertones and has a surprisingly dry finish.

Mar 9, 2008 Botella. Comprada en licoreria. Color oscuro, rojizo oscuro a la luz. Buena espuma. Aroma escaso, talvez algo de café. Sabor a café y ahumado agradable, pero algo aguada. Un poco ácida. Astringente. Poco cuerpo. Aceptable.

Mar 9, 2008 Got this some time ago from beer of the month club. Wish I could find a place to get some more. Top shelf beer smooth, strong hint of chocolate with a caramel finish . A world class beer to say the least. I tried it also with the Defumada which was also good but this was wonderful. it was definitely to my particular taste. A higher score from then most.
