Got this some time ago from beer of the month club. Wish I could find a place to get some more. Top shelf beer smooth, strong hint of chocolate with a caramel finish . A world class beer to say the least. I tried it also with the Defumada which was also good but this was wonderful. it was definitely to my particular taste. A higher score from then most.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at John’s Market Place in Portland, Oregon. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber brew with a thin tan head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of roasted dark malt, a touch of banana esters, Baker’s chocolate and some caramel, Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated, with flavors of roasted dark malt, some flowery hops, a touch of chocolate and roasted nuts. Finish is semi-sweet, smooth with a light caramel aftertaste that quickly disappears.

Pours a brown color with a tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, slight coffee, chocolate, molasses, and some toasted malts. Flavor is very much the same but not as strong as I was hoping. Pretty decent

Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Pours a nice burnt brownish black. Smells like banana, chocolate, and nuts. Flavor echoes the nose, with a hint of smoke.

Bottled. A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel as well as some notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as quite a lot of straw. Fine Dunkel.

Bottled, Batch 36. Poured clear, deep reddish-brown with a swirly dustin gand a light ring of off-white head. The aroma picked up a nice blend of sweeter chocolate, drawn caramel, and molasses.. a little smoke as an accent piece. The flavor was quite similar and equally enjoyable.. sweet, smoke-accented chocolate and molasses at the core with toasted grains and caramel extending toward the edges.. not much bitterness at all.. sweet, dry finish. Light-medium bodied on the palate and very sweet (but well done).. the dry finish was rather refreshing. Good stuff!

Poured a slippery black-mahogany-copper with no head. Nose of sweet, roasted, peaty malt. Molasses, toffee, and stale malt flavor. Kind of smoky. Not very smooth and very watery.

Thin light brown head which dissipates quickly. Smokey aroma with some charred steak, roasted grains and a bit of cocoa. Color is a very dark brown. Smokey flavor with soy sauce, carbon and a some dark roasty flavors. Lite coffee. Little bit sweet with a good amount of flavor. Lingering smokeyness. Better than I expected.
