Jun 3, 2008 Bottle purchased at D’s Six Pax. Pours brown black, thin off white head. Aroma is malt, roasted nuts, caramel, coconut. Flavor is Roasted, malty, caramel, toffee. Fairly sweet but not too much so. I’d say that this is a decent dunkel.

May 2, 2007 Light coffe and roasted malt in the aroma. Black in appearance with a thin head. Medium palate. Plenty of roasted black malts and not much else.

May 18, 2007 (Bottle (batch 36) from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/portland/ target=blank>Downeast Beverage Co.) My least favorite of the Eisenbahns so far...Pours dark brown, looks clear. Half-inch or so of tan head that rather quickly becomes nothing. Light malty aroma of vanilla and brown sugar. Mouthfeel fairly smooth but not much real texture. Fine needle-like prickliness. Pleasant cocoa-like flavor but also something a little off in there. Not much here to really get excited about.

Dec 12, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a foamy head that is gone quickly. Light roasted caramel malt and coffee aroma. Similar roasty flavor with some chocolate and yeast. A good, though not fantistic brew.

Jan 4, 2004 Forget Xingu, this is Brazil's best beer and one of the best dunkels I'vw had anywhere in the world. Near black colour, wonderful toasty malt aroma. Dry, crisp flavour, a bit chocolatey. Medium palate.

Aug 12, 2007 Dark brown pour, with brown frothy head. Toasted malt nose, with hints of coffee. Nice touch of sweetness, with a good bit of caramalized malt and touch of cocoa. Medium body and the flavor is full through the end.

Jun 21, 2009 Good light tan head,carbonation is strong,very dark dunkel,red brown tinge.Aroma chocolate caramel,sweet some fruit perhaps,nice maltiness.Flavour malty chocolate caramel,liccorice,smooth mellow,mild bitter,alround good session drink,has a nice finish,smooth malty.

Apr 3, 2008 Pours a dark black/brown with a small off white head. Aroma of malts, biscut and coffee. Flavors of chocolate, malt, brown sugar, caramel and hay. Brazilian Dunkel done decent, but far from perfect.
