Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Burnt nuts and chocolate on the aroma of this brown beer. Chocolate with cardboard hints in the body.

A versão "pressão" ficou ainda melhor que a versão garrafa. Coloração preta, com um creme bege amarronzado de densa consistência. Presença marcante de caramelo, tanto no aroma quanto no sabor. Boa drinkability.

3/15/08 - Mystery pack from D’s courtesy/shared with Naka. Pours black with amber hues, small fizzy, khaki head. Nose is sweet caramel, biscuit and chocolate, touch of roast. Surprisingly not bad. Nice caramel and chocolate flavor, a bit watery with dry, crisp finish. Not bad.

Shared w/ Juart. Got from a Mystery Pack from D’s in Monroeville. Pours a really dark brown color with a small fizzy light tan head. A nose of dark molasses, some coffee, and a little bit of fig. A malty caramel flavor with some roasty background. Some dark fruit undertones and has a surprisingly dry finish.

355ml bottle. Midnight black in colour with a thick rich tan head. Looks thicka nd tar like. Not as aromatic as I expectedbut has a burnt malt aroma. Nice and smooth and easy to drink with little bitterness.

Full brown body with a decent, actively carbonated head. Moderate dusty roast chocolate mingles with malt in the nose. Moderate roast body, with some bitter chocolate notes on the finish and a touch of burnt chocolate. Medium mouthfeel and medium malt. Brief appearance of caramel raisin at the end. Perhaps some nuttiness. A rather middle of the road dunkel.

My Bottom Line:
Toasted bread and accompanying roastiness dwell in a wet, sly body, where earth-covered mushrooms slowly grow. Although there’s nothing special in its expression, this Dunkel is still a drinkable example of the style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-There was barely a ring of foam around the brownish black.
-The mouthfeel is rather flat and frail, which is disappointing.
-Some wooden dryness accentuates the roast’s presence/bitterness in the finish.
-Caramel is found, supporting but not developing.

Bottle.
