Bottle. Pours iwht a fairly dark color and a small head. Nice aromas of grain and malts. Flavors of grain, caramel and malts. Has the charcateristic German lager flavor, nicely done like all the beers I had from this brewery. This beer works well with Mexican dishes I might add.

Bottle. Nutty, toasted aroma drenched in doppelbockish malt - superb! Touch of earthy funk from the hops. Coke-colored pour with an ephemeral tanned head - gone in 8-10 seconds. Crisp medium-full body, medium bitterness with a splash of alcohol and, surprisingly, actual Coke-ish notes (Jack and Coke, really). The wonderful nutty and toasty notes of the prelude are, however, absent in the show and reserved for the dry aftertaste. Sideways notes of brown sugar and grape. Touch of chocolate, but takes a few ounces to notice it. Well-rounded, though somewhat non-German Dunkel.

Bottle purchased at D’s Six Pax. Pours brown black, thin off white head. Aroma is malt, roasted nuts, caramel, coconut. Flavor is Roasted, malty, caramel, toffee. Fairly sweet but not too much so. I’d say that this is a decent dunkel.

Pours basically light black, with quickly fading light tan head. Smell is malty and very nutty. Taste is nutty, slight notes of coffee, low carbonation and rich with a light nutty bitter finish. Interesting beer for sure, and reminds me of a thick nut brown ale.

Bottle. Black beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly yeasty and the flavour is roasted, quite watery and bitter/burn’t. Overall an average beer.
