RichJ7 (886), Cullman, Alabama, USA Aug 28, 2008 Clear gold pour with a quarter-inch white head. Sweet malty nose. Flavor is well-balanced between slightly fruity malt and a tangy hop presence. Lightly bitter finish. Not bad. DarkElf (2650), La Jolla, California, USA Aug 25, 2008 25-Aug-08 (12-oz bottle, Batch 09: Purchased for $2.11 from www.liquidsolutions.biz) Bready, honey-like and sweet, some papery oxidation, with a touch of gently bitter hop flavor throughout. Smells like a sweet, honey beer, but oxidation is fairly obvious here as well. Medium-bodied, but with the beer tasting so sweet and without hop crispness, the beer sits heavy and stale on the palate. Dark-golden in color and beautifully clear. The off-white head pours to almost half an inch before settling to a thin ring. Overall, it lacks the crispness that one expects from the intended style, but it’s still drinkable. If a fresh sample shows up locally, I’ll give this one another shot. nearbeer (1234), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 9, 2008 12 oz, batch # 09. Clear burnt orange with a creamy lasting head. Nice lacing. Lemon-honey and dry grass aroma. Flavors of chalky grain, orange-lemon honey, light wood and a touch of sour fruit. Dry grain and grass on the finish. Medium body is lightly carbonated and smooth with a crisp finish. blipp (724), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Sweet caramel aroma with a bit of straw. Flavor is again sweet malt, caramel and straw. Not bad. Bockyhorsey (1968), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 27, 2008 12oz bottle batch 06. Some mellow lemon with wheat araoma. Gold body with good white heat some lacing. Averge swill flavors of wheat grain malt and some lemon in there. Bitter finish decent brew on 100 degree day.
