Bottle. Do not bring me back to Köln, but I really try! :). Golden color with a little white head, some hops in aroma and malty and citric flavor, almost a Brazilian Lager.

Português: Cerveja dourada com espuma pequena e branca, nootas de lúpulo no aroma e sabor maltado e cítrico, quase um Lager.

Light orange yellow color with white head. Crisp light head, vaguely sweet. Grainy taste with a sourness to it that shouldn’t be there.

In the bottle from Beertopia. This was my least favorite of all the Eisenbahn beers that I tried. Pale golden yellow with a white head, but smelled much like any South of the Border beer. Not skunked, but adjunctilly grain-like and boring. Malt level was higher than most latino lagers, but that’s about all the credit I can give to this beer. It definitely has none of the characteristics of a kölsch and I was surprised to see it designated as such when I logged onto this site. The bottle merely proclaims "Brazilian Golden Ale."

From a bottle, new arrival at John’s in Iowa City. A thin eggshell white head covers the medium gold colored body. There is some earthy musk type cologne along with pears in the aroma. The taste is light sweet potatoes with some hints of whole grain bread. The finish is lightly tart with some cherries. A decent brew.

Definitely more enjoyable than the Vigorosa, but still nothing great...flavors of grain and sugar highlight this beer...malty flavors, but not particularly pleasant ones (though I may be biased due to my review/experience with the Vigorosa)...wouldn’t seek this one out again, even though I traditionally enjoy Kolsch style beers

Delicious kolsch. Pour was a deep gold with no head. Aroma was hard to pick up. A little corn maybe. Taste was a thick mix of malt, sugar and honey. Some citrus notes in the after taste as well. Not much carbonation. I love this style as there is so much going on in it. Nice.
