750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy orange gold with a large linen white head that lasted until nearly the last sip and left considerable lace. Pleasant aroma of malt, caramel and just a bit of apple. A bit musty in the nose as well. The flavor is unfortunately somewhat oxidized with malt, caramel, apple, yeast and alcohol all present. Some moderate alcohol warmth at the finish. A bit dense in the body, which is combined with some fairly heavy carbonation. Its a shame, but this beer is tired and past its prime, and its also too expensive to try another bottle.

Plenty of frothy head and good looking carbonation,yellow/gold pour,aroma yeast strong spice,hint of floral,really pleasing smells,flavour sweet a creaminess,clove wheat like,banana,caramel/toffee fizz mix cinnamon brandy hint,well flavoured brew,Eisenbahn are doing so well,alcohol strong but tastes equal,finish sweet spicy,smooth so tasty.

2009 Bottle - Thanks Buckeyeboy! - We got a gusher, there is no doubt in my mind as to the truthiness of their claim to adding a dose of yeast to bottle condition...when the fireworks stopped, pours golden with a large head of large bubbles...aroma is a bit antiseptic at first, but opens into a nice malty, fruity nose with some toast...flavour is similar, apple, pear, dk malt, bread and consistent spice, ABV not a detractor from the enjoyment...this was a bit off at first, but came together very nicely...thanks for the share!

Large tightly beaded head on top of an almost crystal clear, orangey body. Spice on the nose as well as some rockmelon. Early initial taste was of banana which disappeared and didn’t come back, then the spice, sweet malts, a little candi sugar on a fairly round not quite complex body. Didn’t pick up the high alcohol at all. Cheers.

Pours hazy golden orange with a fizzy head that dissapears. Nose has confectionary fruit: citrus with a bit of strawberry. Palate is medium with high carbonation. There is some sweetness but carbo dries it up quite well. Finishes with a good hit of alcohol and spice, whether yeast or hop driven I’m not sure. Overall a great beer. Certainly has similarities with belg tripel. Probably pulls it off better than deus de Flanders, the only other I’ve had of this style. Was a bit too sweet, whereas this was spot on. Would have again if not for the price!

Was lucky enough to score a sample of this one. It pours golden with a lively white head. The aroma and flavour was fruit, spices and balanced with some doughy yeastiness. The alcohol is well hidden. A peppery finish. A very nice beer. (Bottle at Platform Bar, Brisbane - cheers Ian!)

Bottled. A dark golden beer with some sediment floating around under a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, oranges, and peaches, as well as a light acidity. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of yeast, as well as light notes of smoke, alcohol, and over ripe peaches, leading to a dry finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
