A golden color with a nice foamy also persistent and overflowing with effervescence. Malty aroma with a quite presence of alcohol in there and a little bit sweety and hopy. Flavor is sweety and highly carbonated also a smooth alcohol presence, not so strong like Deus, notes of hop percepted. Mouthfeel is balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Good one from Brazil!

Aroma of sweet biscuity pale Belgian malt with some caramely notes and a touch of light fruity esters. Starts very effervescent settling down into a sweet, sugary caramel complexity and some bready Belgian yeastiness. A pretty good, unique and authentic Belgian strong. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 24, 2008 June 2007 - Golden yellow, smallish head. Strong aroma of sweet candy and malts. Overwhelming sweetness that made it hard to finish even my small portion (thanks to eaglefan538 for sharing nonetheless). Highly carbonated, slightly grassy or else this would have been totally undrinkable for me. Ugh...not again. ryan (1776), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Bottle shared by a combination (they split the cost) of captaincougar and kp at the footsex gathering.. Thanks fellas. These fine gentlemen also allowed me to sleep on the floor of their hotel room the night before the Sexual Chocolate release...very fine indeed. This beer has a lot of carbonation and some sweet, and sometimes sour flavors. Me and my palate were pretty spent by this point in the evening, but I did manage to scratch down some numbers corresponding to a score of some kind. jasonm (22), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 5, 2008 A light and golden honey yellow color, overflowing with effervescence. Huge, feathery, bone white head takes up half the flute. Not as pale as champagne. Aroma starts off with a dry, crisp aroma of pale malt, earthy oak, and a slight touch of acidity, almost Brett like. A bit of green apple tartness is also present. The flavor counterpoints the aroma with a more traditional Belgian Grand Cru sweetness of Candi sugar and caramel with light earthy spices. When the carbonation is stronger, there is the flavor of Granny Smith apples and a hint of sour cherry. Finish is both slightly tart and bitter, with sourness and a bit of floral hops. This can be two different beers depending on how its poured. With a gentle pour, that keeps the head low, the mouthfeel is highly carbonated to the point of being caustic. With a more vigorous pour, the mouthfeel is almost creamy, with delicate carbonation. Overall, a unique experience. A traditional Belgian Strong Pale with some interesting attributes brought about via the Methode Champagnoise. Alcohol presence was barely felt, although the sweetness does become a bit cloying after awhile. wickedpete (627), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA
