Commercial Description:
Eisenbahn Lust is the first beer in Brazil produced by the "champnoise" method. After the normal fermentation and maturation in the brewery, the liquid is sent to a winery, where it stays for three months and passes by the traditional process of champagne production. It has fruit aroma and refreshing flavor. Presents fine and plentiful "perlage". It is ideal as appetizer and for pairing with dessert and great celebrations!

The cork comes off, and out comes the beer. We got a gusher here folks. Pours a clear amber with a lot of little floaties moving around in there. Big head falls fast...just as champagne would. Nose is kind of sappy hop like. Flavor is tart and tangy. Seems a bit rough on the edge. Minor yeast tone. Strong sugar tone, but not in a way that I feel like it blends at all. It seems to stick out like a sore thumb. The carbonation at first seemed so biting that it was almost enough for me to just quit drinking the whole thing. It calms down a good bit, but then the liquid feels a bit too syrupy. Overall this is a so-so brew. In comparison to the two others of the style I have had before, Deus still reigns supreme. This doesn’t really come close at all and takes it’s place next to Krait. A waste of money (and way too much of it, IMO). Try the Deus instead.

2006 bottle. Pours yellow/gold, with a white head. Aroma is yeast, apples, honey, and wine. Flavor is honey, fruit, yeast, peaches, grapes, and alcohol. Very enjoyable, but overpriced. Rating #950.

Clean gold; small head. Aroma of alcohol, apple, bandaid. Flavors of residual sugar, honey, powder sugar, soap, corn, herbs. A bit cloyingly sweet. Significant carbonation, some champagne grape residuals, caramel and butterschotch finish. Overall big, sweet, tasty and fun.

Bottle, deep clear golden with a white head. Wood, white wine and champagne in the nose. Somewhat of a "dusty" character in the flavor; notes of aged malt, citrus, lemon, hay, pale brewing malt and champagne. Surprisingly sweet. Light bodied with very lively, almost prickly carbonation.

The cork wouldn’t budge, so I removed my hands to try another grip. As I did so, the cork shot into the air with a loud "Pop!" and rocketed around the room. Luckily, not too much run-off, since this brew is overpriced. It has a highly effervescent deep golden body with a fizzy off-white head that vanishes quickly despite the excited bubbling. Very nice fruity aroma - peaches with a few red cherries, some green grape skins, and a splash of honey. This Champagne-styled beer may be a bit too effervescent, too lively on the tongue and too distracting in the flavor. It retains its fruitiness in the flavor, but the highly spritzy feel gives it almost a quinine-like taste. Dry finish. Pretty good but, as mentioned above, this is way too costly to repeat unless someone treats me.

(11/3/07, 750ml bottle) Lightly hazed amber body topped by quickly dissipating large off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, yeasty, light bread. Taste is medium sweet, yeast, peach, light honey. Unusual. Effervescent light-medium body, alcohol presence is small compared to actual ABV.

Aroma of candy, yeast, fruitiness. Sweet, smooth belgian spiciness. Dry finish, lots going on. But kind of lost in the shuffle of a huge tasting post GCBF at Capflu’s.

Clear gold colored body with a huge white head. Faint, clean pils-like malt nose with a moderately yeast presence, and some chemical scents. Very carbonated and effervescent, with a biting and sharp flavor of candy sugar, hay and grains. Makes me burp.
