Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Malty hoppy aroma. Sweet malty hoppy bitter flavor with some grassy hints. Long malty bitter finish.

The beer pours a crystalline gold color with the head small and white, fades in the blink of an eye, lacing a patchy sheet at best. Sweet malt at the start, with a floral tone also noticed, citrus like in its crispness, one of the better South of The border beers I have smelled in years. Front has a cordial malt sweetness, touch of spicy bitterness, top is moderate in feel. The finish carries the sweetness to the dry aftertaste that also has a touch of hop spiciness, not bad, not bad at all.

Pours a clear dark gold, with a small white head. Smels of cereal grains, light malts, and a little pepper spice in there too. The flavor is heavy on the malts, with a touch of some caramel in there too. Definitely a little grainy, but definitely not lacking on flavor for this style. Very drinkable and pretty enjoyable.

Pours a clear, medium golden body. A small, foamy white head settles quickly to a thin, asymmetrical film. Zero lacing noted. The aroma displays overly sweet caramel malts, light corn syrup, golden raisons, and a touch of peppery spiciness. The flavor is again too sweet, with caramel and sugar dominating. The spice profile includes cinnamon and the faintest touch of ginger. The hop bite is disappointingly weak. Medium body with a lightly syrupy mouthfeel. This one lets me down a little, because the Defumada and the Vigorosa were pretty good. I would not reach for this brew again.

Bottle from State Line. Clear deep copper pour with off-white head. Aroma is perfumy hops, caramel malt, earthy grains, and some brown sugary hints. Tastes piney, with prickly peary hops, caramel malt, peppery notes, and some finishing honey, some caro syrupy notes, and more funky and peppery notes late.

Bottled. Looked like pine tree sap with a white head in the glass. Aroma was cream, spices, and shaving cream. Flavor was spiced with barbasol and banana notes.
