Pours a clear amber gold. Really interesting nose that makes me feel like it is a cross between an IPA, a hefe, and some Belgian yeast mixed in there for good measure. Flavor is meaty with woody character to it. Firm tones of sap and syrup. This one is all about the trees and earthy qualities. Feel is smooth on liquid and there is a real strong carbonation that attacks the tongue. I am going to say this is very drinkable. The sweet tone is a touch too much, but overall this is a very good craft brew, and from Brazil of all places. Oh the times they are a-changing’. bgiamatei (229), São Paulo, Brazil

Tem coloração laranja escuro, cheiro adocicado e frutado. Espuma densa e sempre presente. Sabor forte, levemente adocicado, encorpada e com sabor final agradavelmente amargo. Tons de cravo e caramelo no sabor. GreatLibations (1447), Last Supper, Arizona, USA

Head retention is quickly fading resulting in a full dusty canopy and a thin ring of lace. Aroma is very fruity w/ aged, musty fruit, some grasses, enchilada sauce, and spice. Very unique indeed. Medium nectar w/ soft and creamy residual effers. This is a very unique tasting brew w/ a rather spicy, fruity character. Kinda reminds me of a Marzen style w/ it’s big malty backbone supporting an abundant fruit profile. The finish is slightly spicy, creamy, and mildly bittered. I really enjoyed this brew. Slightly old worldish w/ a modern twist. I’d call it a P.A. but definately not American style. kimcgolf (832), Dacula, Georgia, USA

Poured to a golden orange, with good carbonation and a thick foamy head that dissipated fairly quickly. Nose was a nice mix of malty sweet and hoppy fruit. Mouthfeel was full and the malts and hops worked togetjher for slightly bittersweet sensation. Taste was well rounded and the finish smooth along.
Would make a good session beer.

Little head. Mild aroma.
A little more biterness would improve its flavour. Moderate mouthfeel.
On tap:
Everything gets a lot better, specially the head and the mouthfeel.
Rerate: the recipe of this beer has changed a little, now it has a lot more hops in the aroma and in the taste. It got really interesting, specially on tap. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2007 The beer pours a crystalline gold color with the head small and white, fades in the blink of an eye, lacing a patchy sheet at best. Sweet malt at the start, with a floral tone also noticed, citrus like in its crispness, one of the better South of The border beers I have smelled in years. Front has a cordial malt sweetness, touch of spicy bitterness, top is moderate in feel. The finish carries the sweetness to the dry aftertaste that also has a touch of hop spiciness, not bad, not bad at all.
