msante79 (279), Illinois, USA Jun 22, 2008 Bottle. Came in the Beers OF The World multi pack. Pours a clear light amber with white head. Aroma is malt hops. Flavor was nothing like the APA’s I am used to drinking in the US. Flavor has malt, a little hops and yeast. I was not xpecting yeast in a APA. From the ratings some people really liked this beer it just was not for me. Had a couple of Alpha Kings after and made this beer taste more like a Belgain Strong Ale than an APA.
acrdz (4376), Boulder, Colorado, USA Sep 17, 2008 12oz bottle. Nose has some mild floral ginger notes, Belgian-style yeast esters present along with some some sweet honey. Fairly banal flavor, some mildly sweet honey malts, some creaminess to the texture, a mild candy sugar note as well. Simple, sweet, lightly hoppy. Forgettable but very easily drinkable. brew4fun (130), West Virginia, USA Sep 13, 2008 12 oz. bottle - Batch 38. Pour is copper/ golden with 1/2 inch creamy white head, slowly diminishing but never disappearing. Interesting lacing to the bottom of the glass. Aroma fresh and spicy. Flavor of pale and crystal malt, well rounded with balanced bitterness. Reminds me of a decent British Ale. Palate smooth, but a bit thin for my taste. Easy drinking, tangerine aftertaste. RichJ7 (890), Cullman, Alabama, USA Aug 28, 2008 Deep gold with a quarter-inch white head. Nice hoppy nose. Flavorful malt with a nice hop zing. earthy and crisp. Not bad. ghawener (698), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 24, 2008 bottle: light body , malty herbal and sweet. thin small head. drinkable a good decent brew. phishpond417 (1459), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 21, 2008 Pours a clear amber colour with no head. Aroma is malty, very little hops with noticeable corn. Taste is of corn, malts and a touch black licorice. Overall, kind of a dud.
