Attractive deep caramel pour with a tan head that diminishes quickly. Nose is sweet and caramel, with a touch of soy. No soy in the flavor, but sweet, malty caramel. Quite nice and very drinkable. Lively mouthfeel and dried fruit finish.

12oz bottle. This is a nice classic tasting weizenbock, with some bock notes as well as a wheaty, hefeweizen-like banana sweetness in the yeast. Deep amber-brown color, unfiltered. A great beer, gets extra points for being a quality beer from South America.

Brown unfiltered lookingbody with a small whitehead that leaves immediately. The aroma is very yeasty with almost an apple cider aroma. It doesn’t have a whole lot of carbonation, but has quite a raisin flavor.

Batch No. 5: Garnet orange. Dense, clumpy and sticky grayish froth. Uplifting nose of plums, banana taffy, creamed coffee, black cherries, baked apples, and a hint of plasticy phenols and iron. Expressive carbonation condenses into a velvety cream as it breathes. Luscious and succulent body. Initially brisk with airy phenols swirled with a softer estery tang of red licorice, black plums and baked apples. Clove and bubblegum are minimal, but exert enough strength to deepen the complexities. Iron-tinged acidity and the abundance of airy phenols squelch the alcohol while exponentially bolstering drinkability. Juicy acidity adds lift to the body. Toffeeish Munich and a flash of chocolaty sweetness tease the palate as they adhere to the richly textured wheat. Malt frame is polished, multilayered and soundly structured. Soft and refined wheat character lends a palate-clinging starchiness as well as a bouncy tang which caresses the fruitiness, snappier esters and lightly peppery phenols. Delightfully clean and focused all around. Plush notes of bready malt, bananas, red licorice and plums are joined by a vibrant kiss of bubblegum and chocolate pudding at the finish. Not only is this a difficult style to brew, but it’s equally difficult to make something that’s both clean and complex. This achieves just that. Well done.

Pours a five finger light tan head that fades quickly to a ring leaving a no lace. Cloudy amber color with a ton of yeast left in bottle. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Sweet clover nose. Flavor is sweet caramel, drying finish, not cloying. $1.99 for a 12oz bottle from John’s Marketplace Portland, OR.

Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a light brown with a tiny white head. The aroma is almost totally banana. The flavor was also a ton of banana; some rubber, spices and yeast. Not too bad. For sure it is worth trying.

Pours cloudy reddish/brown with a small fluffy off-white head. Sweeter banana clove and caramel aroma with some alcohol present. Very sweet caramel flavor is a little more dominate than the banana, chocolate and clove flavors, which makes it taste slightly more generic. Very rich flavor. Well fizzed body that is pretty chewy.

Surprisingly quite decent unfiltered wheat. I am getting some roasted, very consistent and smooth chocolate, a bit of the banana and clove aroma and flavor.Smooth above average mnouthfeel and very quaffable.
