Fairly sweet with tastes of banana, light alcohol and roasted malt. It all comes together very well. I love it. Medium body and drinks pretty light for 8%. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 13, 2008 bottle - Pours lightly hazy brown with a one finger head. The aroma is mainly malt with a touch of caramel. The flavor is sweet malt and some mild dark fruit notes. The wheat is mild. In fact this one isn’t much different than a typical doppelbock. There’s not much hops noticeable here, but this medium bodied beer with a little of that 8% abv noticeable is a good quaff. santos999 (318), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 7, 2008 All around decent flavors and aromas, they just seem muted and dulled. Banana and cloves in the nose and on the palate, with surprising sugary sweetness. Full mouthfeel. ¾ (5006), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 6, 2008 Mildly cloudy amber bourbon colored body. Some sweet and intensely fruity clove and creamed banana notes in the nose, with a small bit of pineapple as well. Sweet and malty throughout, with a sweet but midly harsh flavor, though it tends to fall apart as it nears the back of the tongue. Finishes candied and sweet with a candy sugar and husky rye bread flavor. A decent beer. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Very hazy, dark brown amber body with quick off-white bubbles. Burnt yeasty grain flavour has a hint of hidden fruit skin. Medium body. Interesting and good as it goes along. puzzl (2648), New York, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 6, 2008 Bottle from SoLan. Small head on the pour fades fast into a milky brown body that doesn’t look very appealing. Spicy, phenolic, unexciting nose, with a good bit of peanut brittle as often found in weizenbocks. A bit of a watery taste, with light vegetals in the flavor that seem out of place. Does not have the kind of thick, wheaty body I expect in a good weizenbock. Goes down pretty easy at 8%. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 29, 2007 A little essence of banana off the top, and a little fruit in the mid-palate amid the caramel. No evidence of the alcohol, which is impressive. Red color. Bubbly/sharp carbonation. Not bad, though not awesome either. kkearn (1013), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
