In the bottle from Beertopia. Pours brown with a yellow-ish beige head. I too get a vegetable-like aroma, but no caramels. Flavor has distinctive wheat tones, mildy tart. This is thinner than it should be. Not as good as their smoked beer.

Not too bad. Cloudy copper color, big foamy head. Aroma was lightly phenolic with hints at medicinal clove, and just a touch of banana. Flavor seemed sweetish but was swept away by a high carbonation. Some bubble gum and banana flavors. All flavors pretty restrained. Softer than expected mouthfeel.

Thin head which dissipates quickly. Sweet malts and vegetal aromas. Some prunes and caramel also. Color is a dark copper brown. Little bit hazy. Weak flavor. Little bit of sweet caramel malts and dark fruit but weaker than expected. Light alcohol presence. Wheat is really not noticed in the brew. Finishes kind of slick in the mouth with some lingering malts. A decent brew but a little bit bland for a wheat dopple.

Couresy of Degarth. Pours a hazy copper with weak white head. The aroma is grainy muted wheat mixed with mild fruity esters that become grain alcohol. I get a faint caramel note hiding beneath somewhere. The taste has an initial bite due to the carbonation that leans towards figs and dates and obscure off flavored blandness(?). The wheat note is faint. The flavors don’t really come together.

Dark translucent brown with small off-white head and no lacing. Nice malty aroma but a little weak. Flavor has typical big malts with light sweet fruity notes. Oily mouthfeel and some alcohol pinch. Okay overall, but not as strong as I like weizen bocks.

Bottle from Premier Gourmet in Buffalo. Dark brown body with a small off white head that fades fast. Sweet malty aroma with a lot of estery notes, yeast, and caramel malt. (7+) Sweet malty flavour with more esters, sweet caramel/toffee, burnt/toasty malt in the finish. Average palate. Pretty decent.

Bottle... Murky, ruby-colored beer with orange highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Great retention. Smells a lot like their S.A.P.A., but slightly more acidic. Sweet, spicy flavor with low bitterness. Tastes like their S.A.P.A. with fewer hops and no smoky phenols. A dab of pungency and a smidgen of chocolate. Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. Lengthy, sweet, lightly bitter finish.

Banana aromas, some chocolate, with sweet citrus aromas. Pours hazy brown with a white head. Caramel, chocolate, alcohol, some citrus, definite sweetness. The alcohol, only 8% is very noticable. Not my favorite weizen bock.
