Courtesy dsnowden. This is from Brazil? Hmmm..... Pours a dark, cloudy, reddish-brown color with no head. Nice aroma of apple juice, caramel, and spice. Flavor was more of the same, with sweet apples, caramel, cinnamon, and other dark spices. Very fruity, with an almost cider-like quality. Medium body that is a little on the sticky side. Smooth, clean, fruity finish. The alcohol is well hidden at 8%. Would make for a nice desert beer. Very interesting brew that has opened my eyes up to what South America is capable of. Impressive.

12 ounce bottle. Shaker glass. Cloudy amber with a thin head. Aroma was cloves, banana and yeast. The flavor had notes of brown sugar, cloves, raisins, caramel, molasses and roast malt. There was some bitterness and a hint of alcohol. Overall a very nice brew.

Pours a clear dark amber brown color with small amount of quickly dissapating offwhite bubbly head. Almost looks like a glass of coke. Aroma is sweet malts, toffee, dark fruits like cherries and plums, and a belgian yeastiness. Flavor is very smooth, sweet malts, caramel and cherries mostly and raisins. Very nice drink.

Courtesy dsnowden. Pours a light caramel brown with a small light brown head. Big caramel fruity aroma, banana, other spices. The taste is very smooth, alot caramel, and dark fruits, some of that banana as well. There is some wheat flavor as well, but more bock than weizen. Pretty nice flavor, the banana really shows up in the finish and lingers in the aftertaste. Nicely balanced brew. Pretty good.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance :Cloudy, hazy amber brown with creamy medium light top.
Nose :Bubble gum, wheat, alcohol, sweet fruity malts, hint of plum.7-
Flavour/Palate: Medium bodied , strong alcohol content with drying finish. Wheat notes, neat blend but all this got overshadowed with overpowering alcohol.

12 ounce bottle (batch 10) from Cellars Wine and Spirits on Larpenteur, Roseville MN (June 2007), served a little below cellar temperature from a Ramstein weizen glass. Despite the miniscule hiss when the cap is popped, this pours forth a vigorous, frothy light tan/caramel head which however dies fairly quickly atop the hazy dark maple body, leaving barely a trace of lacing....caramelized bananas and raisins in the first whiff of the thing, dark (pumpernickel?) bready notes appear shortly along with a bit of vanilla....on the tongue, quite light in texture, moderate carbonation which seems to suit the smooth, supple nature of the beast....drier and a bit sharper than most, lots of smoky/burnt notes, raisiny and caramelized/blackened, almost harsh at times but around the middle a sweet creamy vanilla center emerges and stays with you to the finish, a supple note of laughter amidst the darkness and tartness....finishes on a slightly cola note, or perhaps more accurately, Dr. Pepper....alcohol is perhaps very faintly apparent, some light warming notes and a touch of metallic bitterness, but it’s not out of place at all....I’ve strangely had a whole bunch of new weizenbocks this summer; while not a match for the Plank Dunkler (what is?) this holds it’s own with most of them.

Appearance: amber brown color, turbid. Medium head, of beige color and persistency. Aroma: candy, fruity, low hoppyness, toasted sugar, toasty cereals, slight smoked and damp wood. Flavor: highly candy, toffee, vanilla and truffle. Unbalanced, for low hoppyness and very much candy. Fruitiness of ripe peaches, banana and apricots. Medium toasty malty. Liquory, like old run. Palate: medium body, semi-oily texture. Low carbonation. Very sweet, lack of hoppyness. However, advisable Brazilian beer. Thanks to <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/View-User-49371.htm&g and your friends of the ACCCA for to allow me tasted this beer with them.

From a twist-off 12 oz. bottle, batch number (30) along the right side of label, sampled in a weizen glass. Poured an unfiltered toffee brown with a large rocky, creamy beige head, good retention, settled into a thin skim-like topping. A flavorful nose, clove and banana bubble gum, cocoa, caramel, sweet fruity esters, plums and kiwi, a touch of hop spiciness. Good carbonation that lends itself to smooth, creamy medium bodied mouthfeel, textured tastes of chocolate caramel toffee, light brown wheat bread, clove, sweet fruits, plums, dates and bananas that meshes with the alcohol, an estery warmth in the palate, a good finishing spiciness from the hops, this is a tasty, smooth sipper, dangerously quaffable if you’re not careful. I really enjoyed this weizenbock, tasty and balanced, if this was available in my area I would be a regular buyer, recommended. Acquired in a trade with msubulldog25, many thanks for this one!
