| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2008 I’ve tasted about 8 beers from Sudback over the past week and they have been consistently good and true to style. This weizen bock is no exception. Meaty, powerful and sweet malts, spice and clove, with some dirty stinky fruits and bitter chocolate to finish. Quite a bit happening. Comes across like a dirty old Belgian ale before the sweet chocolate and roast kicks in. Intensity tails off a fraction on the finish but otherwise impressive. blackmurder (170), sadf, Hawaii, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 26, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with SoLan. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a moderate off-white head that lasted through mid-glass and left very spotty lace. Very pleasant aroma of banana and caramel. The flavor is again banana and caramel with a bit of raspberry surprsingly enough. Lightly tart at the finish. Medium bodied. Very easy to drink with the alcohol well hidden. Good stuff! Slightly rusty banana, cardboard, and wheat flour on the finish. Medium body is sorta smooth and sorta rough, with some alcohol dryness.
