chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Feb 11, 2007 On draught at Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Murky orange colour. Plenty of yeasty, estery fruit, bananas and cloves without getting too soft and blowsy. There’s a slightly citric undercurrent that keeps it quite refreshing and prevents the sweetness taking over too much. A pretty decent hefeweizen in my book.
Magicdave6 (4092), London, Greater London, England Oct 19, 2006 Aroma gives sweetish wheat malts with honey and grass having a wee say over the cloves. Taste is similar but bubblegum has a wee say also, a bit too carbonated. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England May 2, 2006 Draught @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Citrussy and light spice aromas, a little banana. Refreshing and not too sweet. Highly carbonated body gets in the way of some of the flavours. maeib (4106), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England May 1, 2006 Draught - Reading BF. A hazy yellowy gold coloured weizen with banana, bubblegum and clove in the aroma. The taste is wheaty and banana. A bit ordinary and dull. Below average. Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England May 1, 2006 Reading BF 2006. Sweet, spicy and fruity beer with banana. Harshly carbonated.
