May 22, 2008 Sweet fruity aroma. Malty with notes of honey. Deep golden amber color. Off-white head. Strong fruit flavor, very rich with no bitterness. A bit of tartness in the finish. Full bodied and very sugary. Many a little too sweet but a good beer nonetheless.

May 22, 2008 Bottle. Very malty smell, a little bit like molasses, moderate alcoholic. A small off-white fizzy head, fast and fully diminishing, a dark red body. Moderate bitter start and finish on the palate, average duration. Heavy alcoholic taste, medium to full body, oily texture and a flat carbonation.

May 22, 2008 [15 year old vintage - thanks a million Ungstrup] Hazy brown with tiny head. Sweet fruity aroma with malt, sherry and plums. Sweet flavor with dark overripe fruits, toasted malt, caramel and sherry notes.

May 15, 2008 Pours a darker amber with a medium fluffy beige foam on top. Spicy fruity caramel malt aroma with notes of honey. Nice sweet rich dark malt flavor, brown sugar, honey, raisins, and german hops. Light and airy body that is also sticky. Covers the 11% pretty well.

Apr 25, 2008 Pours out a deep amber color with bubbly/frothy head. Aroma is very seet matl, caramel, alcohol and light fruitiness. Taste is somewhat syrupy but filled with caramel malt, fruit, and alcohol. For 11%abv it was pretty smooth and at $2.99 it was pretty damn smooth.

Apr 23, 2008 This guys created mixed feelings.. some loved it, other didn’t know what to think. Its defiantly a sipper, sweet initially then bitters. Not overly sweet or syrupy. Leaves alcohol skid marks on the back of the throat. Not really complex but good, and strong! Interesting too

Apr 6, 2008 A very strong aroma but in my opinion not in a good way. A lot of alcohol comes through in the aroma mixed with smells of fruit and liquorice. The head was nice with decent lacing. The commercial description is from Michael Jackson and I have to say if you want a sherry or a port go have one. Just not enough balance to get me to come back. I like eisbocks too. the Kulmbacher Eisbock is one of my favorite drinkers but it is much more balanced then this.
