Commercial Description:
This world-famous beer has the character and richness to stand in for fine sherry or port. Just the right degree of sweetness - never cloying; wonderfully aromatic and warming. EKU 28 is the one whenever something good and strong is needed.

$1.89 bottle from Tip Top. mistakingly though i was buying Kulmbacher Eisbock. Pours with a 1 finger white medium bubble head that quickly dies to nothing, leaving a tea-amber color. Aroma started off a tad skunky, but quickly became sort of a light malty milky tone. Carbonation is a little light, Taste has a noticable alchohol taste, good amount of sweetness, but some sour milk undertone. The sweetness sticks to the tongue a bit in the finish. Not very drinkable, so maybe I should lower my rating. I poured most of it out.

bottle. Lots of flavors vanilla, caramel, spice, and hops. Somewhat sweet and very strong. Big flavor. Not an everyday brew but maybe in the right situation. Caught me by surprise.

12oz bottle-pours a thin retaining foamy light tan head and copper color. Aroma is sweet caramel-medium malt, oats, bread, fruit, secondary hops (continental?). Taste is syrupy, sweet caramel-medium malt, oats, bread, fruit, secondary hops (continental?), alcohol. Occasional on a cool evening.

bottle - Pours clear light amber with a thin head. The aroma is malt and some mild dark fruit notes. The taste is sweet, almost syrupy, caramel malt and light fruit notes. Full bodied, lightly carbonated, and with some definite alcohol presence, especially in the finish, I thought this beer was a good dessert beer, but not what I’d call world class.

(Bottle BB 19/04/08) Alcoholic, herbal, malty and fruity aroma. Amber colour, clear and small, white, fully diminishing head. Caramel malty, sweet, herbal and fruity flavour. Lively carbonated, medium to full-bodied, alcoholic, astringent and slightly sticky palate.17/06/07

Pours out dark gold with a small white head that disapates quickly. Aroma is creamy like a good sherry and carmelly. Smooth taste of an eisbock, slightly thick with some alcohol. A bit of sweetness, but very balanced.I like to treat this as an after dinner drink and sip it slow.

The color was a golden with orange hues. The aroma was sweet, candy, fermented fruit, and aged. The flavor was alcohol, sweet, aged, and citris. The palate was medium bodied. The finish was a little warm.
