dolemike1 (1116), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 19, 2006 Big malts, very sweet, but with a potent alcoholic finish that somewhat detracts from the beer. HenrikSoegaard (4263), Randers, Denmark Sep 16, 2006 Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Orange colour. Heavy malty aroma. Nice powerfull flavor, a little bit too alcoholic, average finish. Oily palate. PHXHOPLOVER (50), LAVEEN, Arizona, USA Sep 13, 2006 On tap at Papago in Tempe. My first eisbock. Smoother than expected. Semi sweet body, with fruitiness i would attribute to the yeast. Was told it was 12 percent on tap. SSSteve (2048), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 12, 2006 clear orange amber under a small off-white head. a few chunks floating around. strong alcohol aroma. some malty sweetness. flavor is fruity and sweet with lots of toffee/caramel. not my favorite but i enjoyed it more than samiclaus. papajohn (1054), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA Sep 9, 2006 11.2 oz bottle ($2.49) from Holiday Wine Cellar: Orange-amber color with a medium off white head that fades to nothing fast. Aroma is rich ripe fruit with a metallic background. Flavor is rich with over ripe peach/apricot, some honey and a light spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation. Metallic aorma dissapaited and alcohol became more proment as it warmed. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Sep 7, 2006 $2.99 at Country Club Liquors; Caramelly, malty nose with some peachiness; copper with a beige ring of bubbles around the edge; flavor tastes like a whiskey mixed with berries, very unusual, like nothing else I’VE tasted, dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Sep 5, 2006 Never had head as big as the picture when I poured it. I thought this was pretty good actually. Comes off pretty heavy, but with a different and pleasant taste. A bit expensive but nice. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Sep 1, 2006 Bottle. Dark copper colored. Very sweet flavor with a light spiciness. The malt characteristics where very complex and the alcohol was very high.
