Aug 16, 2006 Brownish color with a big thick tan colored head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, with caramel. Similar sweet flavors but the alcohol and bitterness went up quite a bit. Definitely strong, but I also think it has a great combination of flavors.

Aug 12, 2006 The aroma has raisins, brown sugar, paper, cereal malt and alcohol. The appearance is light red brown (like the picture) with a small head (nothing like the picture). The flavor is very sweet with a moderate amount of bitterness. The alcohol is present from start to finish and warms the throat. The palate is sticky. The alcohol is a bit too strong for me but isn’t that the point of an Eisbock?

Aug 10, 2006 Bottle from Super Saver. Clear copper pour with 1-finger, off-white head. Aroma of big fruit, apricot, peach in heavy syrup, caramel malt. The flavor was caramel malty, with a rich, sweet, and hot palate that got hotter as it warmed. There was also apricot, honey, caramel, and some cognac in the taste. This one wasn’t bad ice cold, but it got really hard to finish as it warmed up.

Aug 2, 2006 Kulminator, 23 May 2006. Raisins on the nose at first. Light reddy amber body with minimal head. Dried fruit in the aroma followed by alcohol. Medium to full body, syrupy sort of mandarin, caramel, sweet, syrupy but drinkable.

Jul 25, 2006 Copper colored with miniscule head and a boozy, fruity aroma with some malt. Thick on the tongue, very sweet, sherry like, lots of alcohol in the finish. Can’t say this one really did much for me-maybe it sat around too long.

A dark copper colored brew. Had a very sweet flavor with a light spiciness. The malt characteristics where very complex and the alcohol was very high. This is a cold winters night drinking brew.

Jul 7, 2006 11.2 oz bottle. Pours out a copper brown with a reddish tan head. Sweet sticky malt mainly in the aroma. Flavor was quite sweet with malt characteristics and touches of red apple juice and sherry with a nice alcohol burn on the finish. Pretty full and complex on the palate. For a strong beer, I liked this a lot, I guess much more than most people did here.
