beeranarchist (184), Aalborg, Denmark Oct 16, 2005 Updated: Nov 28, 2005Nice red-brown colour, white head. Aromaes is alcohol, sweetness and riped fruits. Taste is sweet, maybe to sweet. Good as winterwarmer. wxman (580), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Oct 13, 2005 Sweet aroma of malty brandy (if there is such a thing) and alcohol. Appearance is clear amber with a thin white head. Taste is cloyingly sweet caramel maltiness with alcohol really up front and throughout. Brandylike warmth follows along with malt sweetness. Not very complex, but not bad either considering the 11% ABV. One of these once in a while is enough. restless7 (104), Lenexa, Kansas, USA Oct 4, 2005 At first I thought "Nice color, aroma not my favorite but not bad". The longer I drank it the worse it got. I’ve had beers with higher alcohol content which tasted much better than this. I am not a fan of bitter beers in general and this was no exception. bipolarbear (6), Paterson, New Jersey, USA does not count Oct 4, 2005 Pours almost like the color of ice tea. Head quickly dissipates. Very watery mouthfeel. I mean like water . I reckoned this beer would be more velvety. Obvious taste of alcohol. Lingers after you swallow and warms your mouth. NICE!! Sweet, but dominated by alcohol. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Sep 25, 2005 Pour is a dark orange with a white head Aroma is lots of caramel and brown sugar. Lots of brown sugar in the flavor so much so it takes over the flavor. overall its ok. try an drink it on an empty belly.,as it is very heavy. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Sep 22, 2005 Bottle, pre-Rita festivities. Pours a beautiful golden brown, with glorious lacing. Aroma is alcohol, molasses, raisin, and toffee. Flavor is a sweet ass-kicking of alcohol, sugar, toffee, and cotton candy. Wonderfully coating palate soothes the tongue. Great beer. shrubber85 (2826), Wallhalben, Germany Sep 16, 2005 Bottle. Sweet plum, brown sugar aroma initially that changes to a sour peach as it warms. Brown-orange-red color with small disappearing head. Sweet plum flavor initially again in the flavor that turn sour for a moment before fading into an astringent alcohol flavor in the finish. The astringency is more typical of the bock style - probably one of the most representative of this style. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA Sep 15, 2005 proclaims this is : one of the strongest beers in the world. well it doesnt try to hide that fact. bitter alcohol taste, somewhat sweet. sort of a bad beer. im glad i only bought a couple of these.
