| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/20 | Jun 30, 2005 Smells like apple juice. Nothing else, just apple juice. Develops zero head, and looks like dark, rotten apple juice. The taste is slighty redeeming, with a decent malt profile and a controlled sweetness. Palate is nice too, but you can really feel and taste the alcohol in this beer. Carbonation, though slight, stings a little. Not too thrilled with this one at all. EDIT: This beer really sucks. I just poured it down the drain. Dough77 (771), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 29, 2005 Pour is very pretty golden amber. Some white around the brim of the glass, but not real head. Nose is very sweet with raisins, caramel, malts, and alcohol. First sip is quite nice and smooth. Tastes of even more raisins, very very sweet, big on the honey, with some really big malt notes, all while staying very sweet. Reminded me of one of the JW Lee brews I’ve had earlier, cant place which one though. ehhdayton (1113), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2005 A nice malty aroma but very little hop. Pours a deep rich golden amber and with a nice size head. Drinking reminds one of a mild dessert wine with a hint of tangerine. Arayaga2 (947), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 27, 2005 Malty sweet aroma with choclatey undertones. Taste was same, well rounded, and nicely hid the huge alcohol (contrary to what others have found). Minimal aftertaste, also. (12oz/$3) UnsofistaCat (222), Garden City, Michigan, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 27, 2005 Rich brown color with decent head. Very thick and syrupy with a high alcoholic bite to it. Tasted kind of like the cereal Grape Nuts served with hot whisky…pure malt. I didn’t enjoy this at all. This may be a classic case of simply not liking a beer that is crafted very well, however this malt attack aint for me. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2005 bottled, amber color and has no head. huge aroma of caramel and alcohol. full bodied, the taste of alcohol dominates a complex mix of various flavors. fairly drinkable given its abv, the balance between alcohol and other malt flavors is bold.
