| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 26, 2009 Nice copper color with a white head that fades into trailing pools of carbonation. Nose is sweet with some fruit and alcohol. Medium carbonation. Taste is very sweet upfront. Nice, rich mouthfeel. Hints of orange that remind me of Grand Marnier, macerated fruit, raisins. Some hop bitterness on the back of the tongue evens out the sweetness. Noticeable alcohol, but that is to be expected. A good after dinner beer in the midst of the winter! v8powered (48), , Nevada, USA

Aroma of sweet fruit including raisins, pears, and prunes. Fairly sweet and rich beer with a lot of alcohol, although it is not overwhelming. Very tasty overall, make sure to enjoy. Potent and very, very tasty. berkshirejohn (1794), Bracknell, Berkshire, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 28, 2009 33cl bottle from a Leclerc in Colombes, Paris. Gold with a ring of white head; intense aroma of dried fruit - dates, prunes, raisins, apples and pears; the mouth feel is that of a dessert wine, cloyingly sweet, with apricot and marzipan flavours; warming spirit-like finish, reminding me of Calvados or a fruity Speyside malt whisky. A beer to sip very slowly and enjoy. schuimkroaat (394), Leuven, Belgium
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 10, 2009 33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ Jan 09. Slightly darkened copper colour, completely transparent. The head has great difficulty to keep itself alive and definitely dies within several minutes. Fruity, sweet and cloying aroma, calling to memory a sort of slightly fermented apple mash, pears and dried dates. Strong body with an initially rather sweet taste with that same apple/pearish note and a hint of Irish cream liqueur, yet soon replaced with rather harsh bitterness. Noticeable but not too assertive alcohol combines in to evoke Lowland whisky. Somewhere halfway between Dutch ’Maximators’ and alike and Belgian heavyweight champions.
