Commercial Description:
This world-famous beer has the character and richness to stand in for fine sherry or port. Just the right degree of sweetness - never cloying; wonderfully aromatic and warming. EKU 28 is the one whenever something good and strong is needed.

Clear amber body with a creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel and light malt aroma. Sweet syrupy caramel flavor.

Smells like apple juice. Nothing else, just apple juice. Develops zero head, and looks like dark, rotten apple juice. The taste is slighty redeeming, with a decent malt profile and a controlled sweetness. Palate is nice too, but you can really feel and taste the alcohol in this beer. Carbonation, though slight, stings a little. Not too thrilled with this one at all. EDIT: This beer really sucks. I just poured it down the drain.

Bottle: Virtually no head and no lacing. Aroma is of raisins, sugar and alcohol. Not positive since I was in a dimly lit bar, but color seems to be an amber. Taste at first is dominated by raisin and slight alcohol. As I drink it alcohol tastes becomes stronger to the point that it becomes too dominant. Label states something along the lines of just sweet enough but I think it starts too sweet and ends with too much of an alcohol taste. I'd prefer something else. This is the worst beer I've ever had. The only reason it ties with another is because the aroma is pretty good.

Sweet aroma! Malt, brown sugar, Twizzlers, molasses. Dark amber clear with slight off-white head - looks thick as bubbles move in slow motion. Thick watery body with medium carb. Sweet taste up front, malt & molasses, too sweet followed by light hops & alcohol. Finish is vapory sweet & uncomfortable bitterness. After of bread dough & raisins.

Bottle. Aroma of sweetness and alcohol pierce the nose. Caramel aroma also present along with some wet corn aroma in the finish. Dark orange body with not much of a head. Flavor was sweet caramel till middle of beer. A sticky sweet leather flavor appears with some wet corn. Sweet sticky licorice aftertaste on the palate. Need some water for palate rinse. Decent brew.

Never had head as big as the picture when I poured it. I thought this was pretty good actually. Comes off pretty heavy, but with a different and pleasant taste. A bit expensive but nice.

Sweet, rum-like nose. Deep orange gold, but no head. Very sweet, like brown sugar. Nutty and spicy. The alcohol lingers long after the taste profile is over. Smooth, clean palette. Lot of character to this beer - enjoyable for sure. Doesn’t go with food well, except maybe dessert.

Can from trade with piscator34. Beautiful clear copper with a small white head. Sweet caramel aroma with lingering alcohol warmth and some hints of smoke and tobacco. Flavour is quite sweet to start, with notes of caramel, icing sugar, almond & orange, leading into a very warm, moderately bitter finish. A bit harsh around the edges, but still enjoyable, especially if you take the time to drink it slowly.
