Commercial Description:
This world-famous beer has the character and richness to stand in for fine sherry or port. Just the right degree of sweetness - never cloying; wonderfully aromatic and warming. EKU 28 is the one whenever something good and strong is needed.

11.2 oz bottle. Crystal clear orange-brown. Slight off white head. Super pungent sweet malt, cereal like. Some almost barleylike notes. Flavor is candylike maltiness - did I mention malt? Hops are there, but as an afterthought. Full, rich, sturdy body, slightly oily. Good example of an eisbock? No. Good beer? Yes, but seriously, be ready. Hope you like sweet malt.

Bottle bought in Belgium. Pours orange, no head. Syrupy but not really cloying, alcohol is well hidden. Nice.

This copper ale poured with a nice off-white head and a very malty aroma. The flavor, too, is malty and sweet with a carbonated mouthfeel and a long chalky finish.

Copper colored with a sticky presence on the glass and a tan, foamy head that withered away quickly. Moderate caramel malts and big alcohol in the nose, like a brandy or barleywine. Flavors were heavily sweet and malty in a flat, syrupy body. No hops detected. It left quite a burn in the belly and esophagus. I’m not a wimp when it comes to higher ABVs in beer, but this tasted and felt more like brandy or whisky... and I never really enjoyed hard liquor. I didn’t mind the sweetness, but the alcohol was too overpowering.

Not as bad as I thought it would be. Malt, alcohol, butterscotch, caramel, honey, very sweet aroma. No head. Very alcoholic sweet taste, alcohol is present but not overwhelimg. Very sweet.

Sparkling clear amber with a fizzy quickly diminishing off-white head. The aroma is sweet and wonderful: very fruity (orange) with some smoke and alcohol. The flavor is sweet all around with a big amount of malt dominating everything. The smoke and fruit are here in spades along with some medicine qualties. The alcohol is bg and bold in this brew. The body is full and syrupy with a good amount of alcohol burn. This is the weakest Eisbock I have had. This ber is just a shadow compared to the other Eisbock brewed by this same brewer, which is truly a masterpiece of the style.

The bottle looks good, also the beername is not really the best. Starts very malty, very strong, quite alcoholic. The alcoholic note remains till the finish. Bit earty, fiery-warming finish. Not bad!
